Taff Vale is a well-established training practice serving a patient population of 16,000 in Pontypridd and the surrounding area. We have a friendly and supportive team which values MDT working, clinical excellence and innovation. Due to continued growth and service development, we are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Salaried GP to join our dynamic and passionate clinical team for 6–8 sessions per week (job share considered).

Our Team:

• 7 Partners and 3 Salaried GPs
• 2 Practice Nurses and 3 HCAs
• 1 Full time Pharmacist, 1 full time Pre-registration Pharmacist starting Summer 2026
• 1 Pharmacy Technician and prescribing clerk team
• First Contact Physiotherapist and First Contact Mental Health Practitioner
• Large administrative and Reception team
• Visiting professional from CDAT and Vitality Mental health – providing mental health input and talking therapies
• Advanced workflow and coding systems – light daily paperwork
• Named Salaried GP lead for mentorship and pastoral care

What we offer:

Competitive salary of £12,000 per annum, per session with generous annual/study leave entitlement plus bank holidays. £1400/year supplement for two on call days/month on top of base salary. We are a well-organised, friendly and forward-thinking practice that is committed to high quality care alongside the continued development of our team. We would like to appoint a salaried GP to start as soon as possible.

We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and motivated GP to join us due to the practice expanding our training for medical students and GP registrars. Our practice area covers the Cathays and Heath area of central Cardiff and is situated close to the University Hospital of Wales.  Although we are hardworking, a good work/life balance is very important to us.  The successful candidate can look forward to working in an equitable and supportive environment, which allows staff the time to practise safely and provide a good level of patient care.  Salary negotiable depending on experience. This post is funded under the primary care Workforce Fund and initially you will be contracted for the next nine months with the possibility after that of a renewed 12-month extension each year for as long as the funding is available.
