We are seeking a maternity locum GP for a period of 6 months to commence June 2026 for 6 sessions a week. Preferably Wednesday, Thursday & Friday, however negotiable, inclusive of one on call day.
We will offer a competitive salary based on BMA rate and model contract terms and conditions with 6 weeks annual leave, one weeks study leave, plus bank holidays (pro rata).
We are a well-established training practice which prides itself on delivering a high quality of service at all times. We subscribe to the majority of enhanced services available in the locality. We use the EMIS Clinical System. Our list size is 6500 and we are part of South Cynon Cluster.
We are located just off the A470 15 miles north of Cardiff. We currently have 3 enthusiastic partners and 4 salaried GPs supported by 2 Practice Nurses, 2 HCAs and an experienced administration team. Our practice team are fully committed to providing the best possible health care service to the local community. Other team members include a cluster pharmacist, mental Health Practitioner, Physiotherapist and well-being co-ordinator.

We're a small sized GP practice in Cardiff on a mission to deliver healthcare to our patients.
We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and reliable Receptionist/ Care Navigator to join our friendly GP practice. You must have excellent communication skills and telephone manner, ability to work with other members of the team, good attention to detail and ability to adapt to all situation at ease. Previous experience would be desirable but is not essential as full training will be given.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Greet patients on arrival and book them in on the GP clinical system and be aware of and operate within the reception protocol for Access to Medical Care.
Answer and make telephone calls in a professional manner and assist with or redirect queries as appropriate (i.e. patients / hospitals / outside agencies).
Maintaining and keeping both paper and electronic computer patient records up to date.
Undertake repeat prescribing requests / issues on a daily basis.
Opening and distributing mail.
Maintain and update the practice registers on receipt of patient information.
Assist in recalling of patients ensuring that patients’ computer health record is updated with all contact attempts.
Use all practice equipment such as scanning, photocopying and faxing.
Other reception duties as required.
